Michael is a Senior Partner and Financial Advisor at Finity Group and one of the original founding members of our firm. He’s directly involved in a wide scope of the firm’s operations, most notably leading marketing efforts and setting a tone of integrity and diligence as the head of our compliance department. Mike also maintains a personal financial planning practice, serving the needs of his clients by directly assisting in the development and maintenance of their financial plan strategies.
Most days find Mike starting the day combing through financial media and the news, making sure he’s up to speed on the topics and issues that matter most, and any changes in the financial landscape. With that broad knowledge base Mike is equipped to help his clients make well informed decisions and weed through the short-term notes of the day, helping them always focus on the right decision for what’s really important in their financial lives.
Mike’s path to financial planning began early on when, as a child he directly saw the impact of inadequate planning and the toll it took on his family. He learned how proper planning could have helped his family avoid these challenges and frustrations and through that he became motivated to help those around him find the financial confidence he never had growing up.
Mike has been recognized by Medical Economics Magazine as one of the *Top Financial Advisors for Doctors in the country. He’s achieved this honor each year since 2010. To meet the growing demand of financial education within the medical community, Mike co-authored the book, Real Life Financial Planning For The Medical Professional. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration through American Intercontinental University, achieved while on active duty with the United States Navy. Furthermore, he holds the following industry licenses: FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, 65, 24, and Life/Health Insurance. His professional designations include: Certified Financial Planner TM (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®).
Mike and his wife are the proud parents of two daughters and a son. In the few spare moments outside of family and his practice, Mike enjoys the Oregon micro-brew scene and watching the San Francisco Giants, especially in October.
