Senior Investment Coordinator

Japie grew up in South Africa and graduated with degrees in Law, Finance and Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg. After working as an assistant to portfolio managers in his hometown, he chased after adventure and personal exploration by teaching English in South Korea. There he met his wife, who is a PNW native, and she brought him to Portland. After enjoying Portland for handful of years, they moved to Spokane to be closer to family.

Japie assists Cole Kimball and Evan White with coordinating their investment practices and is also a member of the Investment Committee. Shortly after joining the Finity team in July 2018, he obtained his Series 7 license.

Japie enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and their cat – constantly on a quest to enjoy good food, local events, and explore nature.
