Ian has worked with Finity Group since 2012, primarily working in the investment processing and operations departments. He supports the client-advisor relationship, to ensure Finity Group’s clients’ financial strategies are implemented with ease and at the high standards required by the firm. Ian also helps coordinate Michael Merrill’s individual investment practice.
In addition to providing operational support, Ian leads the Investment Committee due diligence and research process. As a committee member, he assists in the monitoring and review of investments utilized by advisors in individual and group client portfolios to ensure they meet the guidelines and standards set by Finity Group. Ian also assists in the review of employer provided retirement plans and benefits. He recently completed course work to gain the Registered Employee Benefits Consultant® designation from the American College of Financial Services. The REBC® designation acknowledges his specialized knowledge in the complex field of employee benefits.
Ian has his Series 7 and 66 security licenses and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Oregon. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with friends, camping, and is an avid Oregon Duck and Portland Trail Blazers fan.
