Marshall is a financial advisor and, while he is located in Sacramento, he and his assistants, Tori Lawhead and Justin Fukuhara, provide a high level of service to clients across the country. His practice focuses on the special planning challenges physicians and their families face at all stages of life, particularly around the end of training and early years in practice.

Throughout the planning process, Marshall explains the many variables to consider when setting up and maintaining a long-term financial plan, ensuring his clients are well informed ahead of any financial decision. He aims to help clients not simply achieve financial independence, but more importantly allow them to fully enjoy life outside of work with the peace of mind their financial plan is taken care of.

Along with Mike Merrill and Cole Kimball, Marshall wrote Finity Group’s book Financial Planning Basics for Doctors as an educational resource for the medical community. He has also written several articles for the American College of Cardiology’s Fellows in Training section to offer insight on a number of personal finance topics.

Marshall graduated from the University of Washington, where he endured an 0–12 football season. He remains a cautiously optimistic Huskies fan.
