Marcus Nelson

Vice President of Accounting

Marcus began his career in the financial services industry in 2005. After six years with national-brand wealth management firms, he decided to seek out opportunities with independent firms. In October of 2012, Marcus joined Finity Group as an intern and has continually earned increased responsibility and scope within the firm. Marcus’ current position as Controller involves overseeing new business processing, adviser compensation, maintenance of accounting records and assisting with IT. Marcus is proud to be working for a local business and award-winning employer that puts clients’ best interests first.

Marcus holds a B.A. in Finance from Portland State University and a B.A. in Social Sciences with a minor in Hospitality Business Management from Washington State University.

His personal interests include playing soccer for his club, North End United, attending Portland Timbers and Portland Trail Blazers games, fishing, skateboarding and music.
